Team Combat Baseball
About Team Combat
Team Combat Baseball is a competitive youth baseball program based in Middletown, Ohio. Our mission is to develop players both on and off the field through hard work, accountability, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
We believe winning is important, but player development comes first. Our goal is to help athletes improve their baseball skills, build confidence, learn leadership, and prepare for success at higher levels of competition.
We welcome dedicated players who are willing to work hard, support their teammates, and represent the program with character.

Our Philosophy
At Team Combat, we focus on three core principles:
Attitude
We expect players to be coachable, respectful, and supportive of their teammates.
Effort
Players should give their best effort every day, whether in practice, training, or games.
Development
Every athlete develops at a different pace. We are committed to helping each player improve their skills, baseball IQ, confidence, and love for the game.

Multi-Sport Athletes Welcome
We strongly encourage multi-sport participation.
Athletes who compete in football, basketball, wrestling, soccer, track, or other sports are welcome in our program. We believe playing multiple sports helps create better athletes and more well-rounded competitors.
If scheduling conflicts arise during certain parts of the year, we work with families whenever possible.

Player Development
Our players have access to:

  • Fall baseball opportunities

  • Winter indoor training

  • Indoor batting cages

  • Pitching and catching development

  • Defensive skill development

  • Strength and athletic movement training

  • Baseball IQ and situational awareness instruction

  • Turf and dirt field practice environments

Our coaching staff emphasizes quality repetitions, game-like situations, and individual improvement plans to help every player continue progressing throughout the year.

Competition Schedule
Team Combat players typically participate in:

  • Weeknight league play

  • Multiple tournaments throughout the season

  • Fall baseball opportunities

  • Optional travel tournaments when appropriate

Our objective is to provide a competitive schedule while maintaining a positive developmental environment.
We are also exploring participation in a travel tournament each season within driving distance. Whenever possible, fundraising efforts will be utilized to offset travel-related expenses for families.

Fundraising Commitment
We strive to keep baseball affordable for families.
Player fees are capped at $650 annually, but our goal is to reduce costs through sponsorships and fundraising efforts.
In 2025, Team Combat successfully operated with zero player fees through fundraising support. We will continue pursuing sponsorship and fundraising opportunities to reduce costs for families whenever possible.
Fundraising efforts also help support facility improvements, equipment purchases, tournament expenses, and long-term program growth.

Facilities & Volunteer Commitment
Team Combat practices at Rowe Sports Complex in Middletown, Ohio and utilizes both turf and dirt playing surfaces.
Our winter training program provides players with access to indoor training opportunities, allowing development to continue throughout the year regardless of weather conditions.
As part of our commitment to maintaining a first-class environment for our players and families, we encourage all Team Combat families to volunteer at the facility throughout the year.
Volunteer opportunities may include:

  • General facility cleanup

  • Concession support

  • Tournament and event assistance

  • Equipment organization

  • Seasonal improvement projects

Our goal is to create a program that players can be proud of while keeping costs affordable for families. In most cases, one or two volunteer commitments per family throughout the year is sufficient to help keep the organization clean, organized, and running smoothly.
We believe strong programs are built through teamwork—not only from players and coaches, but from families working together to support the organization.

What We Look For
While athletic ability is important, it is not the only factor we evaluate.
We look for players who demonstrate:

  • A positive attitude

  • Strong effort and work ethic

  • Coachability

  • Respect for teammates, coaches, officials, and opponents

  • A desire to learn and improve

  • Commitment to being a good teammate

Our goal is to develop quality young athletes and even better young men.

Join Team Combat
We are always looking for players who:

  • Have a positive attitude

  • Demonstrate strong effort

  • Want to improve

  • Support teammates

  • Love the game of baseball

If that sounds like you, we would love to meet you at our next tryout.
